You may use our website for lawful purposes only. By accessing the site you agree that you will not:

All content on this website, including the Vintage Typewriter Company name, logo, product imagery and copy, is our property or that of our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Products & Descriptions
We take care to describe our products accurately, including the make, model, condition and what comes with each machine. Product photos are for illustration, and vintage machines vary, so slight differences in colour and finish are normal. We say clearly whether a typewriter is new, vintage, or refurbished, and pre-owned machines may show honest signs of age and use.
Pricing
All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars (NZD, $) and include GST where applicable. We make every effort to ensure prices are correct at the time of publishing. If we discover an error in the price of an order you have placed, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price before dispatching.
Orders & Purchase Terms
- Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. A contract is formed once we confirm and dispatch your order.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, for example where stock is unavailable or where we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will issue a full refund.
- You are responsible for providing accurate delivery and contact details. We are not liable for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect information.
Payment & Security
Payment is taken at checkout through our secure, encrypted (SSL) payment providers. We do not store your full card details. Your order will be processed once payment is authorised.
Shipping, Returns & Cancellations

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for the products in that order.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, data or opportunity.
- We provide the website "as is" and do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. These Terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be handled by the New Zealand courts, or the Disputes Tribunal where appropriate. Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 remain unaffected.
